BACKGROUND
The General Engineering Contract project included providing plan reviews for the Grand Parkway DB Project that included construction of 2- to 4-lane roadways of Segments H, I-1 and I-2 in Harris, Montgomery, Chambers, and Liberty counties. All works were done within the existing right-of-way.
PROJECT FEATURE
Segment H is approximately 22.5 miles long between US 59N/IH 69 and US 90. This segment included 2-lane road and two discontinuous frontage roads. Section I-1 is located between US 90 and IH 10 and is 14.8 miles long. This section included a 2-lane road and two discontinuous frontage roads. Segment I-2B is 6.1 miles long and located between east of FM 1405 to SH 146. This section has four main lanes with two discontinuous frontage roads with two lanes in each direction. All segments have multiple main lanes and frontage road bridges, turnarounds, and tolling locations.
RELEVANT SERVICES
As a member of the GEC team, infraTECH was responsible for reviewing plans for different disciplines including roadway, walls, SW3P for multiple packages.
