LOCATION:
Wichita County, Texas
BACKGROUND
Located in Wichita County, TX, this complex three level interchange requires safety and operational improvements between Midwestern Parkway and Windthorst Road. Near the project area, a new public high school campus is under construction, located southeast of Henry S. Grace Freeway between Windthorst Road and Midwestern Parkway. This will make the operational and safety condition even worse for the ramps and adjustment intersections.
PROJECT FEATURE
The project included survey, QL B SUE, alternative development and evaluation, traffic operational analysis, drainage impact analysis, schematic development, utility conflict analysis and preparation of an engineering summary report.
RELEVANT SERVICES
As the prime provider for the project, infraTECH was responsible for project management, existing condition analysis, development of several alternatives and evaluation of alternatives based on design impacts, operational and safety improvements, LOS at intersections and segment LOS, constructability and cost. infraTECH developed the schematic for the preferred alternative and prepared the engineering summary report.
